The default lock code is 12345 unless you changed it. If you changed it and can't remember it then it can only be reset by  Nokia Care Point. They will probably require proof of purchase before they will do so for you.

Why do you need the lock code?

Is it to factory reset the phone, or to get into it again?

You can do a factory reset through the following:

• Turn off the phone
• Hold the buttons  '3' + '*' + 'Answer Button' down at the same time.
• Start the phone while holding these 3 buttons still de-pressed.
• When the Nokia tune and logo shows you can let go of the 3 buttons

If you need to reset the code for other reasons you need to take it to a Nokia Care point.

I have had the same thing happen to me. But I have the new Nokia E6.  am with T-mobile.

I changed the default and I wrote it down. But when trying to use the new code or the default it doesnt work!

I have the same problem with my E6. I jsut want to hard reset the phone. I dont mind if the lock code remains the same, I just want to reset my phone. What buttons do I have to press to get it to do a hard reset?

As previously advised in this thread, the lock code if forgotten can only be reset by  a Nokia Care Point. They will require to see proof of purchase before resetting it for you.
