You may want to review on the phone's specs to check if it meets your needs:

We greatly appreciate your interest with Nokia E7.

Try reading this, I have the E7 and love it, but you need to make up your own mind, only downsides for me are , no macro photo's (which I don't mind, anything more than 40cm away in good light is very good) and maximum internal storage 16gig (which is enough for me, but cannot be expanded)

This is a support forum, so only people with problems come here and open posts. That's why here you can only see problems about each phone model.
About the E7, mine is working as expected with no problem at all. I'm here only out of curiosity ![]()

I am using E-7 and so far the only problem i faced was wen updating the new software, my E-7 went black and did not reboot, I gave it to the customer service centre and they promptly fixed it. So far, the phone is superb and the sleek design and OVI applications are just great. I was using N-900 before and thought that was the best model Nokia ever produced, but E-7 just proved me wrong, Now for me E-7 is the best that Nokia has given ( until the next release).
Every model of the phone has problem, be it Nokia, Samsung, Motorola, I-phone etc. If E-7 model is problamatic, do u think nokia would dare to release it worldwide. If you find the phone is within your needs and budget and most importantly if you find you like the phone, Just go ahead and buy it.

As I do every day, I've just read the first pages on this forum looking for topics on E7. There are maybe 5/6 posts, one asking for availability (he's getting 'out of stock' replys, seems that the E7 is selling better than expected).
I would call the E7 a unproblematic phone.

I have had three E7's. All faulty, all three returned to place of purchase and received a cash refund for all three. Having been a Nokia user since 1994 I would have to say the E7 is by far the worst Nokia phone I have ever owned. I could not and would not recommend this phone to anyone. Well maybe to my worst enemy - just for revenge. I am now trying out an iPad2 and so far this is great. Am considering getting an iPhone 5 when it is released. As a result of my experience with the E7 my love affair with Nokia is now over and I am jumping ship. A customer lost is a customer you do not get back. Unfortunately the people at Nokia do not appear to be learning anything from their past mistakes.

I will be soon on my second E7, the first returned due to hardware problems, did the same when I had the N900 for other reasons. I am going back to the e7 because of the design, nothing come close to it currently including the N9. I like the screen and the keyboard. My wife has an Iphone4 and she can keep it -- BTW it helps if you are somewhat technical when solving basic issues.

I take offence to your comment "BTW it helps if you are somewhat technical when solving basic issues". Perhaps before making a comment like that you need to know the facts.
I have been using Nokia phones since 1994 and Windows Mobile devices since 1997 and am well versed in how to use them. Having said that it does not help when -
1) You take an E7 out of its box and it won't switch on. Then you plug it into the charger and it will not charge. DOA. The retailer took it back and gave me a refund.
2) You buy a second E7 and on the second day you get a white screen of death. It took 24 hours or so to get the phone to work but in the process I lost the pre-installed Photos, Videos, wallpaper and maps and according to Nokia there were other apps missing.
3) You buy a third E7 and after about five or six weeks whilst demonstrating the phone to the sales person I bought the phone from it completly died and would not recover. I think these problems were a combination of hardware and software problems and the fact that the device has a non replaceable battery. So technical expertise would not help with these problems.
I also do not like the iPhone 4 but am waiting to see what the iPhone 5 is like. But after my experience with the E7 I will not buy another Nokia phone. It,s a bit like a certain make of motor vehicle I bought a few years back. Made in the Uk. Biggest heap of scrap metal I ever had. Spent more time in the workshop that it did on the road. Consequently I will did buy a car from that manufacturer again despite Jeremy Clarkson having a love affair with that brand.
When companies make and sell lemons and then won't acknowledge the fact they loose customers that they then find almost impossible to get back.

No need to take offense, it is ok to disagree. My comment was NOT geared towards you directly, I read other people's comments, many are issues of configuration or correcting settings, it helps to know some basics as being able to connnect to corporate Outlook (select the proper servers/ip address, etc), had to do all that with the n900 .. being a developer helps. I see that you gave Nokia many chances to remedy many hardware/software issues and understand your feelings. On the other hand I been lucky my first Nokia was a 2190 and then merely a child I appreciated the craft of the design, and it worked reliable for the longest time. On the E7 despite its age I see similar when looking at the design of the hardware, yes the weakness is with the OS, but I see potential on the E7 -- to modify it as I see fit, I am now awaiting the arrival of my new E7 and I hope that the new Anna (OS) fixes many current issues and will go from there. Regards.

Nokia Australia are well aware of my dissatisfaction as are your moderators. If you check my PMs you will see what I mean.
Had discussions with Nokia Australia in Sydney by email over a period of about six weeks as well as many phone calls to level two support at the Nokia Call Centre in the Philippines. In fact the lady in the Philippines (level two support) was very helpful and even offered to send me a new E7. But I declined and opted for a cash refund instead. Might I say that the people I dealt with in the Sydney office were unfriendly and often did not return email messages. This matter has been conveyed in an email to Stephen Elop. Might I add that it is because of the complete lack of support from the staff at the Sydney office of Nokia Australia that I have decided to jump ship. On the other hand my case manager in the Philippines could not have been more friendly and helpful. As said to Stephen Elop someone at Nokia needs to read the riot act to the people at Nokia Australia.

It is just not the software it is the hardware as well. (non removable battery for one as well as a poor camera and a keyboard slide which is just plain difficult to open. Same problem on all three). As far as I am concerned this phone is another N97 disaster. Nokia staff just do not learn from their mistakes. Or perhaps there is an attitude problem at Nokia. Anyway Nokia have lost me along with thousands of other dissataisfied customers.

Baz , you've been extremely unlucky, I and many other people have the E7 and have them running fast and reliably, the fact you bought 3 faulty handsets is very annoying and would put me off also. However my phone has performed well for over 3 months and I would recommend it to anyone, except someone who has a desperste need for macro photography in there life as this is a weak spot with the phone ( not one that botheres me in the slightest, but some people need/want it ad if they do, they need another handset) Hope you enjoy the iPhone when you get it.
ps Ford have millions of satisfied customers also ![]()

Apart from the fact that I had three faulty devices, the complete lack of support and bad attitude from Nokia Australia staff at their Sydney office is unbelievable.
Also the call centre in the Philippines (why the Nokia Australia call centre is in the Philippines is beyond me) arranged for me to take one of the phones to my local Nokia Care Centre. Instead of reflashing the phone as they were instructed all they did was reinstall the software which I could have done. It do not solve the problem and in fact the phone was worse after I got it back than it was before I took it in.
A Company is only as good as it's staff and it's customer service. Unfortunately there is no or little customer service from Nokia Australia and their appears to be attitude problems within the company. Also you cannot phone the local NCC as they are not in the phone book and the call centre will not give out their phone number. This is completely unsatisfactory to me as I live 15 kilometres from my NCC (30Km round trip) and I do not like going on wild goose chases.
If Nokia cannot improve it's customer service and it's image with the buying public then it deserves to go out of business.
I have conveyed my thoughts to S Elop but he has done absolutely nothing about it.
In other words he has his head stuck firmly in the sand like an ostrich.
