hi all

i am using nokia e 63 for few months now...

i am facing a problem where when i connect a headset to the device and whenever the phone rings, the ringtone is played in the earphone as well as in the mobile

i want that the ring be heard only in earphone and not in the device

plz help me

I have tried using different enhancemet settings but am not able to achieve the desired

Actually that's just the way Nokia phones are. I haven't heard of an application that prevents this so I don't think much can be done to change this. You can try creating a profile for your headset and earphones and set the singtone for that profile to a low beep so it can still get your attention but not make a noise

What about the silent profile. Turn off ringtone, etc... turn on vibration.

yup, that's the set up i have. I have opted to use a 3rd party headset (for better music quality). I just set the profile to silent when the headset is in use. I get a little beep in the earphones right after it lowers the volume during playback. to avoid this, I sometimes put the phone offline (like when I'm driving or when I really like the album I'm listening to and don't want interuptions).
