Hi Brendon16,
This can be for various reasons.
First, take a back up of your data in Nokia Suite and enter *#7370# into your phone to completely wipe the device and delete any bugs. The phone might ask for a security code, if you haven't changed this code it will be 12345. Once rebooted, connect your phone to Nokia Suite and click on the green icon to update the software of your device or to reinstall the current software when the latest update has already been installed on the phone. Once updated, place the back up back on the phone and see if the issue remains.
If it does, it's most likely that you are using apps that constantly require an internet connection. As the E-series are often used by professionals, it might be that your Exchange account is constantly connecting to the internet. If you go into your email account and go into your settings, you'll be able to set this to manually. You then have to go into the account yourself and click on Options>Sync to sync and with that prevent that the device makes an internet connection without your permission.
Hope this helps, let me know how you get on!

Hi Brendon16,
If a hard reset didn't resolve the issue and you're not using any apps that require an internet connection, there will most likely be a bug in the software of your phone. Most of time this can be fixed by updating the software, but if you don't have a USB cable at hand, you can also visit a local Nokia care centre where they can update or reinstall the software of your device.
They will also check the device further if an update doesn't fix the issue and will be able to solve this for you ASAP. You can find a local care centre by visiting your local web page and clicking on the Support tab.
Let me know how you get on.
Sincerely,
