Just got my phone today and everything works fine except for the email. The problem is that I cant see messages newer then 2009.06.14? So i have all my messages except for the new ones? Any suggestions?

I have had problems syncing to my gmail on my PC with my e71. i called nokia service (routed through the filippinnes) and they said that it is supposed to do that, and then when they tried to replicate it on their phone, it was working as it should. they told me to reformatt and reboot, i told them i have done this and then say said that i reformatted wrong and for me to do it again. pfff. no help from service.

Any one that have a workaround?

Problem im having is that the sync does not happen automatically in accordance with the setting but rather i have to sync manually each time.
any ideas if this is an "undocumented feature" [bug] or "dumb **bleep** user fault"

This is nothing to be done with nokia. This setting belies with your gmail ![]()
GO to gmail - > login -> Settings -> Forwarding and POP/IMAP Tab -> POP Download:
At this place you haev three options as below:
1. Enable POP for all mail (even mail that's already been downloaded)
2. Enable POP for mail that arrives from now on
3. Disable POP
You need to select Options 1 and save settings. try synchronizing your mobile then. it should work all fine.
Try this and please let all know if this worked

No, this adjustment of settings in the Gmail settings does not work. The problem is this: when I send an email from my phone, i cannot see the email being sent on my pc. If i go to the gmail account, it shows as sent, but on my windows live, it does not show as sent. when i receive an email on gmail, it will show up both on my phone and windows live. setting my gmail account to the pop mail options above had done nothing but downloaded 2000 emails onto my pc's windows live. it has done nothing for me.
