You can perform a soft reset and see if that works.Dial*#7370# and when prompted for a code dial 12345.-unless u have changed it.Do a complete backup using Nokia suite of all user data and phone memory before the reset

Re: Why my nokia E7 is restarting himself sometimes?

I had the same problem on my E71, but it was also shutting down when I wanted to keep it on.

I found that the power button was making contact with the on/off switch, and whatever mechanism that keeps the power button in a raised position was not working. Because I didn't want to deal with fixing the phone I bought an E7 to replace it, and completely forgot about the faulty phone.

Months later I decided to take the E71 apart and see if it was fixable.  My solution was far from elegant: I took the case apart, and decided to jam a tiny piece of paper underneath the power button, so it would not hit the switch at any slight movement. The downside is that the button needs to be pressed very hard to turn on the phone, and I don't know how many cycles can it go through that.

I'm sure there other ways to fix this, but I didn't want to dwell with the problem for too long.
