It sounds like a daft question at first, and maybe it is, but what I mean is that mobile phones get used to go on the web, for tweeting, sending text messages or talking to friends on MSN and other IM services. Then there are all the games that people play on their phones, either on-line shoot-em ups with fantastic graphics or simple things like Freecell and Spider Solitaire. Don't even get me started on using phones as Juke Boxes or Radios.
So the question stands, really.
When was the last time you actually pressed the buttons on the front of your phone, heard a "ring, ring" sort of noise followed by a click and a human voice before spending a few minutes or longer actually talking to another human being?
Cheers,
Steve
