Want to read Usenet offline on my E75

I've been trying to find an app that will let me download the messages on a Usenet newsgroup, read, and reply.  (I know I can read Usenet online at Google Groups but I'm not always where I can connect.)  Any recommendations of a good app that will run on my E75 would be much appreciated.

Look for "MobileNews". Apparently it's a java NNTP client (only viewer, not composing) for Symbian phones.

Haven't tried it, but if you do, please post a review! :smileyhappy:

Re: Want to read Usenet offline on my E75

I've just tried Mobile News.  It does connect to a newsgroup server and it does allow you to specify a newsgroup to read.  It's not "signed", so each time you use it you have to allow it to use data for that session.  Once you have created a server and its settings and set up a newsgroup in that server's folder, you can open the newsgroup and pull in the article list.  It shows the articles in threaded format.  When you open an article the body is pulled from the server, so it's not useful as an offline reader.  I haven't yet seen a way to "reply" or post a new message on the newsgroup you're reading.  At this point it looks like a way to at least keep up on a newsgroup while you're out in the field.  I'd like to find something that lets me download a bunch of messages, read and respond, and then upload my responses.

Thanks for the review :smileyhappy:

I guess usenet is not so popular anymore, so nobody seems to be interested in making an offline NNTP reader/writer.

If I had time.... :smileyhappy:

... but no, I don't :smileysad:
