in the next few weeks i will be compliling a list of wireless routers or access points which dislike my e71.

i repair tech gear more than my main job, and have seen a lot of rubbish devices that do not like my phone (i test with an eeepc701sd, a dell latitude c510 and my e71 to make sure there ready to be sent back to customers)

St585v6 AOL firmware - (this can be remidied by using minotavr's method of router unlocking (once the contract is up you own the router) can be reflashed by ISP's like BE* or O2 home who use the same model and the updated st585v7/wirelessbox 2 which removes the conflicts it has  )

Siemens

Gigaset SE587 - tiscali  device ( give up before you start. this crock o **bleep** will burn your house down and is violently weak. it's range is 10 feet. but it can be used as a switch which makes it run cooler)

if you know of any which are incompatible with your phone please let me know here as i'm planning on testing a load of routers soon and reporting it on the website i work on www.cablehell.co.uk

Will do. i'm going to make a guess that it's the routers with broadcomm BCM chipsets
