Hello all!
I am in Australia, Nokia have just come out with some new updated firmware for the E90 which is 300.34.84. I have updated the firmware on my phone once since I purchased it and it did fix some problems. The phone is working great with the current firmware. I have been reading over the time on the forum some people having probelm with their phone when they have updated their phone to the 300.# firmware.
What I would like to know is if someone else has updated the phones firmware to the 300.84.34? Did you have problems? If so what were they? If it has improved the phone what were they?
I don't want to update the firmware on a phone that is working perfectly to find the update is causing problems.

Hi gav23, I'm in HKG & bought my E90 back in Nov 07, it was at a premium & wasn't officially released by Nokia to the local market except available from vendors as gray goods imported from Singapore or elsewhere without warranty.
I've since upgraded twice to a previous & current latest FW 300.****, there was a slight improvement with quicker A-GPS response, more download options & without it you can install the latest Nokia Maps loader other than that I can't perceive anything significant.
The benefits almost isn't worth the effort is my opinion, like you said if it's working find don't bother, I was too eager to follow the crowd & my curiosity got the better of me.:mansad:

I updated my E90 two weeks ago, and so far no problems at all. As Wilson63 said there seems to be an improvment in the A-GPS fix time and the downloads folder has changed in appearance. My Bluetooth also seems far more stable with my in built car kit, it used to drop out after a while in particular when being used heavily and the phone needed to be turned off and on to restart connection but has been fine since update despite seeing many posts about Bluetooth problems with new FW.
I've never had any problems at all with any Nokia update, but at the end of the day it's up to you, just remember to backup first!!
