Hi All..
I have bad experience with myE72,
When attempting to browse Facebook with nokia internet browser, My E72 automatically restart.
it was happen so many time. it's very strange, its happened when I browsed facebook only.
I try to downloaded and installed Application Facebook bookmark from Ovi store (free facebook). it's seem working normal, but when I try to give some comments to friend's status, my E72 was displayed "battery Charging",
then I closed the application, but battery indicator was moving up-down (likes we were charging the battery )...
My E72 was charged itself (without charger but using GPRS signall, hahahahah).
It;s happened one time only, my FB working normal after restarted....
Fyi My E72 FW already update to Ver 023.002.
I think Nokia should analize THIS PROBLEM.

Disaster indeed. And this is why it is disaster for me:
1. Email
Mails i sent doesn't show up in my IMAP sent folder, only on the phone (i'm not gonna say anything about how hard it was to set it up in the first place
). And ...... it's been sad so much about dysfunctional email that i do not want tto repeat it all.
2. Reboots
Just out of the blue....and there it goes again...It is very frustrating when i'm jogging with sportstracker and there it goes again.... i'm listening to music through stereo bluetooth headset and.... you guessed it.
3. Spamming
Ok. this is not software problem, more like new Nokia atitude. What's up with software like Psiloc Traveler that i can't uninstall???

I am beginning to think the whole Nokia brand is a disaster. I have posted several times about the random freezes in the discussion. I have left an email address to be contcated. I have directed it to Nokia whom I thought will direct me. Still nothing I may as well have spoke to a brick and get a better response.
To mention a few of the rendom freezes:
I am to afraid to try anything else on the phone as the freezes occur about 4-6 times per day.
Also a person can not even switch the phone off when it freezes.
And I have installed the latest software 023.002.
So what now? Donate the phone to a psycho and buy an iPhone or a HTC or Sony Ericcson?
Hope there will be some good advice or help coming soon.

Really, this got to be a hardware malfunction.
If You've tried to hard reset the phone and the issue persist there's really not much more to do then to bring in the phone... ![]()
Have You contacted your local Nokia help desk? Is there really no suggestions for moving on there...?
By the way: HTC, iPhone and Ericsson also suffers from hardware malfunctions. Bad batteries, microphones, displays etc. The price You pay for these devices is way to low to guarantee 100% quality.
The same with software bugs. Time to market is way to short to guarantee a flawless phone. ALL manufacturers suffers from this.
But the E72 differs in one significant way: It has bugs in essential functionality and has more than a couple of months on the market. It should work by now!

I tired this suggested hardware reboot (ctrl+space bar+backspace +turn off button). There was no response. Is it the right key combination? If so Nokia must have some strange people working there as I find it extremely difficuilt to press these buttons together.![]()
I am still waiting for Nokia to contact me. Any other linkswhich I can use to draw their attention to this sporadic reset issue?

Thing with seemingly random resets is they may be caused by hardware, or buggy firmware or they may be caused by other software you have installed.
I've been finding that the E72 behaves much better if you just avoid installing anything other than fully approved and well reviewed software. The last one that was killing my phone was Easy WiFi. A great app and worked fine on the N80 but it keeps corrupting the Destinations (AP groups) database and gradually various apps die as a result until there's no option but the reformat the phone. Admittedly the phone did warn that the app may not be compatible.
It doesn't excuse the fact that the phone should not be corrupted by misbehaving or incompatible apps, but it's worth checking what you have installed.
If you don't mind starting from scratch you could also factory reset and/or reformat the phone and start again, then see if you still get problems. You can use Ovi Suite to backup the phone first and on restoring, don't restore apps & settings as they're the ones that may be killing the phone. Does mean reinstalling apps though.
Also, I wouldn't be in such a hurry to install the firmware updates. Maybe there is a reason why they are being held back in some regions and taking a long time to test, and going by bug reports I read the newer firmware on the E72 fixes no bugs, doesn't implement the large amount of missing features, and introduces loads more.
P.S. The problem isn't so much the brand, but the S60 platform. It's been a disaster from day one. S40 phones are solid and well loved generally, though more basic.
