I had transfered my calender data from my old Nokia 6610 to my new Nokia E71 after making a backup file via content copier in PC Suite. However all the birthday and anniversary arlams set to ring one day in advance of the event have been changed to ring on D day itself. Earlier on my 6610 birthday arlam set for the 26th would remind me of the same on 25th night at 20:00. Thats one day in advance. Now I deleted my entire calender on E71. Pls tell me how do I transfer the calender data without the arlam ring time changing or the event itself changing? Backup file is a content copier file. Backup taken using IrDa from 6610 and transfered to E71 via cable connection. Also pls tell me how to set arlam for events to ring one day in advance of the event date...Pls help me out...

I also have found that syncing s40 and s60 devices can mess things up. My problem was with repetitive events where some instances of the repetition had been edited.
I don't know if 'Phone Switch' application works with 6610, but if it does, it's worth trying. Works between my e71 and 6267 (Now that I no longer use repetitive entries

I have tried phone switch but it says that 6610 is not supported. Is there ant way I can scyn my 6610 calender with outlook and the transfer all calender data using outlook to my E71? Will that solve my problem with repetitive events?
There has 2 be some way to transfer data from 6610 to E71 without any loss or alteration of data.

I found that at first, and discovered that if you check each calender entry, it automatically sets the alarm for 1 day previous. Unlike older phone models the default setting for an alarm is the day previous, so you have to set the day of alarm to the same day as the event
I know this sounds obvious, but it took me a couple of days to notice!
hope this helps
