Dear co-unfortunate Nokia E6-00 users,
Here are two remedies for the notorious E6-00:
Remedy 1 increases the battery life only,
Remedy 2, in addition to increasing the battery life also resolves weak vibration, notification light, Advanced Call Manager and loose headphone connector problems! Needless to say, I just applied Remedy 2 and I couldn't be happier!
Remedy 1 (for increasing the battery life only):
*Turn off all additional home screens
*Use a solid color wall paper (somehow solid white gives the best results)
*Disable wi-fi usage and from settings make sure that manual scan option is selected. Plus remove all wi-fi access points
*Select GSM network only
*Activate Power Saving (helps reduce cpu demand on the battery)
*Turn off and disable F-Secure
with these you get about an additional 1-1.5 days
Remedy 2 (for battery life, weak vibration, Advanced Call Manager, Notification Light, Loose headphone connector)):
When I bought my E6-00 I had sold my E-72.
Today I went to a cellphone store, gave my 3-month-old E6-00 and got a brand-new E-72. The dealer called it even. I didn't pay even a dime! So, now I am soooooooooo happy! I didn't realise until I had bought my E6-00 that E-72 is still "Kİng of the Hill"!
I suggest you all to do the same brothers and sisters! Just do the same!

In this moment, my Nokia E6 have been "marching on" for 69 hours i a row, when I got the message "Power Savings"?
3-3,5G on all the time, never switched the phone to 2G
Approx 2 hours of "webbing", in this case mostly over WLAN, fmobi and Nokia Store "catching".
Approx 75 minutes of calling
20 sms
No email fetching at all.
3 start screens, never using more than 3 anyhow.
Some bluetooth sending/receiving.
Nokia Black Original Theme and original wall paper
No F-Secure
No widgets going on so to speak, but anyhow widgets to online mode (doesn´t matter in this case I think)
Almost all applications installed on Phone memory, not C.
No Skype running or similar apps.
Using the app Brightness Controll the built in scrren light to adjust the keyboard backlight to day andnight time. in daytime I dont need ant back light at all for example on the keyboard. this application is a must have for those who want to completely adjust screen light and keyboard light accordingly to bright day light or blackest night..just buy it and controll totally.
Just did this test cause I didn´t need email and any other services these days.
(usually I fetch email from 3 accounts every 30 minutes).

There seems to be a problem with the battery calibration in most of the E6's. When the phone starts asking to swithch to battery saving mode because of low power, it keeps going as if it still has a 25% juice left in it.
I uset to own windows phones and those required firmware to be updated with a full battery to avoid incorrect info on power. I did the same with my E6: I reinstalled the fw while the battery was fully charged and was still connected to charger. But it didn't make any differences.
I am really jealous of your E6's battery performance. If mine had lasted as much as yours, I wouldn't have returned it.
Before I returned it I was planning to reduce the power consumption of wi-fi, bluetooth etc by using a tweaking software but I decided not to.
You are very luck to have such an exceptional E6. ![]()
