Can I apply Sype to my e71? If so, how?
Thanks.

There is no actual Skype client software for the E71. At least not yet.

There is an actual Skype client, but all voice traffic goes over a cell phone call. Only IM and call set up is over packet.
Try fring from fring.com. Voice works reasonably well over GPRS, very well over WiFi. Connects with Skype, Yahoo Chat, and GoogleTalk amongst others.
Only major problem with Fring is that it can not pulse DTMF tones once a call is setup.

I wouldn't call such a client an actual Skype client. If the Skype call worked over packet data and/or Wi-Fi, then it'd be a real Skype client.

Things to watch out for though are there are no free skype calls, it's all done through skype out so you still pay regardless both from your network provider and in skype credits so its not that great at the moment. Still free to chat though via wifi or network. Give it a try, personally I use Fring. Since it gives me access to Gtalk and Skype as well. There are a number of programs out there that will satisfy your IM needs. I've just found that my Download has a whoel new format look to it and that NImbuzz is available to download.

I have installed Nimbuzz and made free Skype calls with it.
