Nokia tech tupport is telling me that there is no wired single-earbud hands-free device available for this phone. I have tried a few different 2.5mm single-earbud devices and everyone tells me I sound like I am in a tunnel. I have checked this and it is totally true, they can barely hear me.
I asked tech support if I could use the Nokia HS-9 2.5mm headset and tech support told me no. I do not hold the phone to my ear, because I have a medical condition that causes me frequent numbness in my hands, and this happens when I hold any phone. (I use a hands free with my landline, but I use my cell phone 99.9% of the time.)
Tech support says the only headset that can be used with this phone is a stereo headset. I mean, come on, that's ridiculous. And when you are out on a city street, the bluetooth headsets are impractical. Plus, there is a firmware problem right now with the E51 and bluetooth, so until new firmware is released, I have no hands free ability and it is a really big problem for me.
Can someone help me out here?
Thanks,
Rob
