Setting up email on E71

Hello,

I recently did a hard reboot of my E71 and ever since I have been unable to setup email. The problem is the setup wizard it's self, it no longer has the necissary configuration options. For example I can choose "Secure login" yes/no where as before it was no/tls/ssl.

I also do not have the ability to set a differnet outgoing username which is a problem because I use a different provider to send email than I do to receive. If anything it looks like the email app has been downgraded during the reboot.

Has anyone encountered a similar situation?

Re: Setting up email on E71

Also is it possible to set email up without using the Wizard? I know all my setting the the wizard just doesn't let me use them, it also wants to "Check" the settings which is stupid because they will be wrong since the wizard doesn't let me define them but won't let me continue until it sucsessfully verifies the impossible.

Re: Setting up email on E71

Try if you cabn reach the settings as follows:

Menu > Communication > Messages

Then choose: Options / Settings

Then you get in a menu with a.o. SMS, E-mail

Choose E-mail and then with Options it should be possible to define a new mailbox with all settings and no wizards!

Good luck

Re: Setting up email on E71

I found a solution. When the email setup requests permission to use network connections you have to decline. Then it will let you set everything up manually.
