My Nokia Messaging e-mail service has run into a problem & I want to re-install the software in an attempt to get it back working properly.  I used to be able to do this via the Software Updater which gave an option to re-install but this now seems to have disappeared. 

What options do I have?  Will it be necessary to format the phone using *#7370# or is there another way to do it?  I cannot update to a different version of the software as I am at the newest version currently supported for my handset, E71.

Unfortunately I can't try with an E71 but OVI Suite 2.2.0.245 certainly offers this facility for some models as per screenshot here:http://i38.tinypic.com/k2a7t.jpg

Thanks for the suggestion but I can't find any such option for my handset in Ovi Suite (I have the latest version).  There is merely one for checking for updates but that just tells me that there are none available for my handset.  I;ve just downloaded the latest version of Nokia Software Updater but there is still no option to re-install the software version I have.

I'd be grateful if anyone else has any ideas/suggestions other than what I have already laid out above.  I'll also contact Nokia direct.

Thanks for your reply.  Although there is the option to check for software updates, there is none to re-install what I already have.  A pity.  It looks as though I'll have to do a reformat instead after backing everything up.
