Hello All
I have both the Nokia E51 and E52, when I tested them both side by side the E51's signal strength in both 3G and 2G were always 1 - 2 bars better. My E52 has died before the new firmware was released and am looking now to get my 3rd one! The question is, has the signal strength in 2G & 3G improved with the new firmware upgrade or not. Also I remeber the WLAN was also poor, has that improved also ?
Thanks

You should be carefull judging the phone by the signal as seen on the screen. I know for a fact (My brother in law is a hardware "programmer" working on mobile phone radios) that it differs from model to model (chip to chip) what is shown on the display while not in a call. Your phone might have lost connection with the base station a couple minutes ago, but can deceive you by showing a better carrier quality on the display for a period before it is actually updated. Imagine what type of chips the phone producers like the best .... :-/
So instead. Call someone and check the reading while in a call, to get a more correct one before you judge.
