How about answering this question: How many users are disappointed in the E90 that did the research, and tested it first and didn't just rush in and buy it?

As already explained, we are here talking about E90 not about E90 users !

I think we need to ask them as well. It seems like there are two lines regarding this product. One line that took the time to find out what they are buying and those that just bought it and are now stuck with it. Where does the blame lie? On Nokia or the people that could not be bothered to do some research. My argument point still stands, to spend $1000 and not fully know what you are getting puts all the blame squarely on you the purchaser.

What is the added value for Nokia to launch on the market such an "untested" and "under software configured" product ?
E90 is one of their flagship !
They, currently, have NO concurrence in this area !

I do point out that repeated threads with the same repeated text must being going somewhere. If so, then you have insight into the unknown. As you are now answering for turo, please make sure he gets my answer.

Thanks in advance.

This is not in the top-secret... this is simply the belgian devise !

Again, this is not here a fight, but simply a way to make everyone aware there are problems, and that there will be solutions ! (I hope)

That's all.

Re: Questions on E90

As the moderators have said over and over and over and over and over. The fastest way to get someone to read your complaints is to use the magic "Contact Us" link. There is no guarantee that anyone is even bothering to read these posts. This is more like a personal rant and rave forum. The only thing missing are the secret handshakes, and passwords.

The mods have made this pretty clear time and time again.

I tried it a few times !
By mail or by phone !
By phone - 20 minutes just to tellme I have to go to a Nokia Repair Center !
By mail, I got a "generic" reply after one week long !!!

Simply useless !

There are more garanties users will at least be aware and stop to look for stupid solutions as the only one is to wait for the fix !

Thanks to these repeat and repeat users do not loose their time too much.

On this forum the vast majority of E90 users are unhappy. I do not contest your statement, but I would like to know where do you get these data ?

The E90 (still) lives on the glory of its predecessors. I doubt the shopping spree will last long if Nokia does not change something radical in the software department.

Will Nokia wait for the "judgement" ?
If "Communicators" users starts their migration to other brand, it will be difficult to recover them !

I really wonder how many E90 have been sold out and the real feedback of the (re)sellers !
Sure, as of today, it is a fail !

Again, it would be far more efficient for Nokia to start a worldwide replacement campaign ratehr then leaving the E90 contaminate the full collection !

I think this MOST is assumption? My feedback, that it's ok. You can manage with it.

&waiting list is not a very good metric. People waiting have never used E90? They might be happy to device they never used :smileywink:

I agree that marketing is good and from reviews, device looks great.

Yes, don't doubt that :smileywink: I think there is no needed actions then?

Of cource one point I have to mention. I don't know the exact case, but if people are provided devices (most expencive in market), why would they complain? Market force is, when people choose device from group of devices, and are happy with it for long period of time.

So if device is not returned, it's still not a good mark from happiness. I have many Ok devices, i manage with. Then good must have devices, like Dyson vacuum cleaner. I don't complain those or send i'm happy messages. I just know that, when buy or upgrade next / new item.

Ok, then situation is great. Let's hope people are happy to devices they are using. So I assume the group of people you refer, started communicator usage with 9300 and now moved to E90. And seems are now happier with E90 :smileyhappy:

No need to assume.
It is not the same people.
I know how many users were not happy with the 9300 from the 9300 we gave and I have the same info about E90 (and yes , about all other Nokia models we deleivered or deleivering).

I do not think this is a good benchmark for E90. People are buying E90 mostly because of the glory of former communicators. But they do not know what they are getting until they start using it. Same happened to us: almost none of the missing features were not described in the so called reviews which were available at the time of purchase..

On the other hand, people return the phones in service for bugs or hardware problems, not for missing features. I did not return my phone in service even though the screen is all scratched and the microphone is not working. I think than only on such forums you can measure the true satisfaction of users.
