Excellent!
I've been looking for a used E75 and because everybody hates them because of the bugs, they're not too expensive.
With new bugfree firmware they will be a great buy!

Haha, bugfree software. Never had a Nokia before?

Well, let me see ...
5110, 6210, 6610i, 6230, E65, N95 - I've had a few, yes.

Whoo, NSU preparations have been done and I just sent the publishing request. This might take 15 minutes, or 2 hours, so hold your horses ![]()
FOTA preparations are also ongoing, similar delay is expected. SW should be available in any case by the end of this day.
I'll bump this thread as soon as I get the notification that SW is available for you.

Tnx Laitos, I can confirm that firmware 210.12.15 is now available now via NSU for my E75 here in Finland. Cannot say my product ID yet since I'm justt upgrading the phone ;-)

Also can confirm, that a colleague is upgrading his E75 phone via FOTA. So the new firmware is available there as well.

I can confirm, that reading long (2+ kB) message now works fine. MfE is able to reconnect to OWA to get the rest of a long message. No such HTML policy error any more, as s we did see with firmware 202.12.01.
Now, how can we confirm, that the special character encoding problem is fixed? There was some times charset encoding problems when replying messages with MfE client. How can we reproducing the problem? Don't remember how the problem existed, but did see it many times.

Hi
Still new firmware 210.12.15 is not available in this part of world neither through NSU nor FOTA, both still says "no upgrade available".
Hope that it will available soon

Hi,
Special character related issues are fixed, but I can't go into more details ![]()
And I promised to add some information of what is in this release:
MfE client update, fixes for both HTML error message and special character related problems in some environment. There's also some changes which reduce the amount of time which is spent during sync. The biggest thing is that this client update will also reduce the current consumption of the device significantly. I suggest that you enable the "always on" option for sync and see for yourselves. Of course the current consumption with other options (15min / 30min etc) are also improved.
Other things, like the accidental keypress filter have been improved which speeds up the SMS / email writing with QWERTY, GPS problems have been fixed, some VoIP and WLAN specific improvements etc.

This depends if your device is e.g. operator branded, or if it's some country variant which requires some specific changes.

what about problems with nokia messaging ( the most advertised feature of e-75) ????
has it improved ?
does it have free nokia maps ?
and thanks laitos for posting us

I can't comment on Nokia Messaging, as I don't know what is the problem. I'm not sure if the client itself was updated (can't seem to find that info...), but in any problem cases I strongly suggest to update the device SW and if you see some problems with Nokia Messaging, contact our local call center as then the Nokia Messaging team should get the official ticket. I don't unfortunately have any tools / contacts via which I could raise issues towards them.
And sorry, no free navigation with this release ![]()

My E75 has Maps v3.01 09wk44 after firmware v210.12.15 upgrade. No free voice assisted navigation. Damn, why not?!
Easy solution; in Maps application if we just could goto Licenses - My licences - Update, and we would get the lifetime navigation licence from the cloud. How easy this would be, if Nokia just wanted to do it.

Maybe your handset has a hardware issue and needs to be sent to the service centre.
As for v210 update - not yet available for generic handset in Vietnam......
...and why no free maps? Just doesn't make sense!

My suggestion is to create a backup (with PC-suite), reset the device by typing *#7370# in home screen (12345 is the default lock code) and then restoring the backup and excluding the settings part.
To me this sounds like that some settings have been corrupted and unfortunately we won't overwrite these user settings during NSU update as it would cause e.g. loss of all customer data.
I can't comment on the Maps / free navigation. This is one thing which falls out of my hands as this kind of decisions are made elsewhere.
