Hi,
i just bought E90 in Philippines, and it have 12 months warranty from Nokia Philippines.
and now the keypad in telephone can not function, it will shows *074 and i can not delete it, i can only use my E90 if i open d communicator.
i already format it with *#7370# , but still it can not solve my problem, and i try also to upgrade the firmware from Nokia website, but still *074 appear on the LCD

can anybody help me to repair my E90 ? what should i do with my E90?

Hi,

I have the same problem. The phone is excatly 14 days old. It puts in the #51 code. And if it open it up and closed it again and trying to use a key, then it enters the first number in the contact database. I had been installing the handy weather, messsenger, gps talked navigation. But they all have been workin fine. Now I cannot use the front keypad. No matter what I do it will not work. So I will try to hard reset the phone. Also suddenly I cannot update the phone anymore from PC Suite...Strange

Hm,

Back again. Somehow I manage to reuse the keypad again after several uninstall of battery, factory reset...It all worked and I reinstalled the GPS navigations extras services, messenger, and M Exchage software from the phone. It still worked. I left the phone and returned into it in the morning and then no battery and couldnt turne it on. Then I recharged to a chager then my initial keypad problem againg occur. Then I reset the device and reaaplied the firmware succesfully. I didnt worked either. Then I shut off the phone and returned to it. And i worked again - without any usage og GPS, installation of software nor reformat the MMC...
Then I took the phone with me in my car and left it. After a ½ hour or so I took the phone and It didnt respond to the fron keypad again! I have spent so many hours and Ï'm thinking about charge the company for this.

I'm totallt lost here and I'm very very dissapointed to this phone. I have been carefully to this phone nor have I dropped it. Nor have I been installing any 3rd kind software. So Now, I have to revert to my sonyericcson now and must address this to the store and have my money back or..?

Any Idea would be helpful

Well,

back again. Even this isnt a personal blog, I can say that I didnt had to turn to the sonyericsson phone (yet). I tried the reformat of the MMC and this have helped. Now it's has been on for 6 hours without any added programs and still it is working as I would like it to be.... I'll continue with GPS extra services and Nokia MAPS Loader and eventually the Messenger, sportstracker etc.

Hello to everybody,

this is my problem too. I have try the same thing (format the utit, remove the micro-sd card etc.) but nothing to do.
After several times I have switch off my E90 for more then 12 hours and seems to be worked fine.
Unfortunately today the problem appear again, it's impossible to use this phone!! The dial up tone caused by the string *074 disturb the conversations and the external keyboard didn't work.
Does anybody have solved this problem? My E90 was purchase the 8th of August, I have used only 2 hours, and I'n very hungry with Nokia, a phone payed more than 899 euros can't do this!! I want my money back!

So... What was the culpret?  This thread just died and I happen to have the same problem, except i'm not getting the same button pushed... It sometimes does nothing, and sometimes the scroll goes up or down... and sometimes it goes straight to "starting to read messages" saying "you have no new messages"  It's weird
