Hi all,
I have purchased new E71, the problem is that the phone is charged very soon, aprox. in 30 mins. and the battery lasts about 2 days. I have changed the phone, thought that it was phones problem, but same with the other. I have taken the battery to service centre and they told that battery is good. I updated the firmware but problem still exists. Can you make some advice?

No programs are running and nor I have email, but I wonder why it's charging so fast? is it possible to charge in 30 minutes? I think that 2 days are very few as it's standby time is 17 days aprox...

I’m very disappointed with my Nokia E71 phone it keeps re-booting itself after 10 -12minutes W/O touching it . I was told by Nokia tech dept to download new software, I did that & still doing the same thing. Sent it in to Nokia twice for service they keep saying nothing is wrong with the unit. I called twice to Nokia ask for Mgr. they said he or she will call, I have been waiting over a week never heard back from no one. I will never buy a Nokia product again I’m very surprise for a large company like Nokia not caring.

I agree it is not a short otherwise the phone or battery would have been fried already. If you think its firmware, then reformat your phone and see if it helps. Next step is to reinstall firmware using NSU.
Good luck!

10x for the answer. How can I reformat my phone? you mean *#7370# or smth else?
Do you know how to recalibrate phone battery level with the battery?

Yes *#7370#.
Don't know about recalibration, but in the meantime while waiting for answer, why not try fully draining your battery until the phone switches off, then recharge.

Ask your vendor to change it with a new one...

They have changed already but the new has same problem...

Did they change the body only or all including battery and charger? When I changed my first unit, carphone warehouse UK only changed the celfone body. They dont even want to change the box if I didn't insist that the IMEI number is on the box.
If its the same as mine, then the battery could be the culprit.

I've had the same problem with my battery and realised that you must not drain it completely. This can easily be done by e.g. leaving it with bluetooth enabled in the vicinity of another bluetooth device.
My question is - "How can you kick the battery back into life? It will not take a charge from the charger connected to the phone. Do I have to dump the battery?
