Hi, I lost my phone. How strong is the phone's startup PIN # request and the simcard Pin code?
Could they for example take it to a corner shop and have it reset?
On this topic also re: Micro SD card encryption. Does encryption work with Ovi Maps and et al ..? I didn't enable that but might do in future. I didn't have any personal files on it.
Thanks.

Sorry about your loss!
Your SIM card itself is relatively secured. After 3 failed attempts to enter the PIN thr card locks itself and needs a PUK to be unlocked.
The lock code is more like a normal password.. it all depends on how "strong" it was. In any case, you can be sure for all purposes that it won't be cracked (unless the guy gets lucky after one or two tries).
I have never used the card encryption, but if the encrypted card is on your E75, then everything is supposed to work transparently (meaning, OVI maps et al will work OK). It's only when you take out the card and put it somewhere else that the encryption becomes relevant.

Hi,
some mobile telecom provider are able using your Emei nr to definitely lock the phone.
Try that.
Good luck.
