Nokia E72 - Lotus Traveler issues

Hi,

We have around 40 Nokia E72 devices on the latest firmware 031.023 connecting to Notes Traveler 8.5.1 via Vodafone Live (3g).

It seems that when Notes Traveler is not able to connect back to the server for a prolonged period such as 30 minutes due to no signal, it then fails all the time. Despite being back in coverage it will not connect until you reboot the phone.

Anyone else experiencing this? Very frustrating for our users.

We have also experienced issues syncing the Sent items folder reported previously in other posts. So for now we are not syncing 'Sent'.

Anyone else having similar experiences?

Thanks

Martin.

Re: Nokia E72 - Lotus Traveler issues

Not experienced this problem myselves.

Suppose you have set the E72's to search for wlan periodically?

Menu - Ctrl.panel - Settings - Connection - Wireless LAN. I have set mine to "Yes" and "every 10min" (to preserve battery life)

If you don't succeed with this - try out Psiloc Connect to handle the switching from Wlan to 3G/ Packet data and back.

Works like a charm for me :smileywink:

Smart Connect in 031.023 firmware (along with patch for SC) should also work.
