No alert sound in other program?

I was wonderin why some of my program installed in my phone are no alert sound even though theres an option for that?example is ebuddy,i already set the volume to its high level but still no alert sound also the program called yehba i use for chatting,the volume setting is set to high also but still no sounds.
I dont think the problem is in the program because i already try to install that in my other nokia phone and the sound is working good.
