My synced contacts (from gmail) have all duplicated on my E72

Hi,

I've just bought the Nokia E72 and finally sorted it so that I can access my emails, contacts and calendar through gmail. I've used MFE for the contacts and calendar but for some reason, all my contacts are now duplicated on my phone. Can anyone give me any tips or suggestions to solve this? I don't want to start deleting things in case I lose them...

I have the same problem and obviously, OVi Suite is implied...

Make a backup of everything. Check you only have ONE complete set of contacts in Ovi Suite. Verify that the names and numbers and email addresses match. The E72 has a habit of getting the contact details corrupted i.e. Mixed up. Delete all contacts on the phone and SIM. sync again with Ovi suite. That should restore one full set of contacts. Hopefully Mfe will not attempt to duplicate everything. On our E72s syncing with Ovi after loading up Gmail via Mfe definately caused the duplicated contacts. The above method works for us. Hope this helps.
