Hello All,
I got my Nokia e72 in Israel, from local cellular company called Cellcom (Cellcom Israel Ltd).
I bought the phone about a week ago and almost instantly it started to make a problems (restarts).
I got back to Cellcom store and asked to fix or replace phone or it's software. The answer that I got from Cellcom representatives was funny: Nokia e72 has to null himself from time to time, and it's known issue (so they say that it's normal), and it's all what they can do.
The bottom line, they said that restarts and closing applications it is the way that e72 should work ![]()
After long conversation they agree to check it in their service labs.. Today I got it back, they told that the phone was reset to default settings and it works now as it have to work (on their opinion).
All problems persist, phone may close one of the applications unexpectedly or simple restarts and closing all open applications.
Please advice...

I GOT A BRAND NEW E72 FROM AN AUTHORIZED OUTLET IN INDONESIA.
OF COURSE I WAS EXCITED ABOUT THIS NEW PURCHASE AFTER READING ALL THE ADS ON THE E72 's FEATURES. BUT DISAPPOINTMENT WAS SOON TO COME WHEN I DISCOVERED IT WAS ABSOLUTELY UNSTABLE AND RESTARTED EVERY NOW AND THEN....ESPECIALLY WHEN I TRIED TO CONNECT THRU WIFI. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE SHOP, WHO FORWARDED THE UNIT TO THE SERVICE (NOKIA CARE CENTRE). IT WAS CHECKED, THEN RETURNED TO ME, SUPPOSEDLY FIXED. BUT - THE SAME PROBLEMS PERSISTED...AGAIN I TOOK IT BACK, NOW TO THE SERVICE CENTRE, WITH A REQUEST THAT THEY EITHER REPLACE THE UNIT WITH A BRAND NEW ONE IN PERFECT WORKING ORDER, OR REFUND MY MONEY. THEY DECIDED TO REPLACE IT WITH A BRAND NEW UNIT, TRIED AND TESTED BY THEM. I TOOK THIS HOME, AND LO & BEHOLD.....THE SAME THING AGAIN...EVERY TIME YOU TRY TO LOG ON TO FB OR THE WWW THRU WIFI, IT RESTARTS OR HANGS....
I HAD HAD ENOUGH....I TOOK IT BACK TO NOKIA CARE CENTRE, WITH A LETTER ADDRESSED TO THE MANAGEMENT DEMANDING MY MONEY BACK....AS THEY HAD SOLD ME A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT AND WASTED MY VALUABLE TIME....IN A FEW DAYS....THEY CALLED ME AND TOLD ME I COULD COLLECT MY FULL REFUND. THEY REQUESTED ME TO KEEP IT CONFIDENTIAL...AS IT IS OBVIOUS THAT THEY DID NOT WANT TO HAVE SIMILAR CLAIMS OF THE SAME KIND FROM OTHERS...
FROM THESE FORUMS I AM DISAPPOINTED THAT THE PROBLEMS PERSIST, AND NOKIA HAS DONE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO SOLVE SUCH SERIOUS ISSUES WITH THE E72. IF NOKIA IS UNABLE OR UNWILLING TO RESOLVE THE TECHNICAL PROBLEMS WITH THE E72, THE RESPONSIBLE THING FOR THEM TO DO IS TO STOP ADVERTISING AND SELLING THIS FAULTY AND DEFECTIVE MODEL, WITHDRAW IT FROM THE MARKET AND SIMULTANEOUSLY OFFER AN UNCONDITIONAL & TOTAL RECALL OF THIS PRODUCT, WITH FULL REFUND TO ALL DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMERS !
PLEASE DO NOT ACCEPT COMPROMISES! WHEN YOU PAY HARD EARNED MONEY FOR A PRODUCT YOU EXPECT A FULLY WORKING AND FUNCTIONING UNIT.
DO NOT ACCEPT ANYTHING LESS!
IF YOU ARE NOT FULLY SATISFIED ALL USERS OF NOKIA E72 SHOULD RETURN THEIR UNITS TO THE RETAILERS EN MASSE!
IT IS A SHAME THAT NOKIA KEEPS ADVERTISING AND SELLING THIS PRODUCT WITHOUT FIRST SOLVING AND CLARIFYING SERIOUS TECHNICAL GLITCHES.
I AM A GENUINELY DISAPPOINTED NOKIA CUSTOMER, AND IF NOKIA WOULD OFFICIALLY AND CATEGORICALLY ANNOUNCE THAT THEY HAVE SOLVED ALL THE TECHNICAL PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED WITH THE E72,
I WILL BE THE FIRST ONE TO BUY A UNIT AGAIN !
PLEASE NOKIA....DO RESPOND....

I WOULD LIKE TO SEE SOME MORE CAPITAL LETTERS AND DIFFERENT TYPES OF FONTS because it makes for easier READING AND YOUR
POINT COMES ACROSS SO MUCH BETTER.

Well, typhical...for any the assistance through the world.., who just switch the item on, let it on fo 5 minutes, and if it works for that lag of time, everything it's ok
T then the customer , who uses it 24/24 hours, finds again tons of bugs. Do you know what? It's no use to bring it back again ...alive... Bring it back dead! to the contacts of the phone (those reachable from inside the battery compartment, and from the USB port) and the phone wiil be perfect uotside buta unrecoverably dead inside. If not still dead, apply again to other contacts, When finally dead.. bring it to the assistance and, in a mix of fake sad/angry complaint, tell them: " ...im back..as..oh, now not even switches on any longer....oh, I'm so disappointed...."
They'll tell you to let it for tha (impossible) check/repair.., and after wasting their time to try to resuscitate it, they'll bound to give it a new one.
Tothe forum:
Sorry, forum, it could seem a illegal suggestion, but either assistance makes it's due work spontaneously (give you good phone, as you gave them good money), or the customer get what it deserves in a less hothodox way...
,Evidently they need you to give beack a phone

If I'll not solve this issue with Cellcom or Nokia or whatever. I'll simply return to use Sony Ericson, my last Sony Ericson worked about 4 years without any single bug. I guess it was my mistake to start using Nokia phones at all.

regarding the return, here they told that it's can be returned only within 24 hours!
Does it say so on the invoice or warranty?

Their arguments are completely crazy. In most countries there is a law that you get a new device or your money back when you return it within 14 days.
You're absolutely right, if you're talking about Europe, Canada or US. But Israel is a third world country, and nobody cares here about such things as support quality after the deal is closed, of course they promise everything before you've signed. Only thing they care here, it is how to steal your money.

My Moderator Friend,
I assume you are with Nokia.
Dont' you think it is incumbent upon you to address the issues and serious complaints we have about the NOKIA E72, and revert with real solutions ?
If you notice, I tried all possible ways to have my complaints addressed by the local Nokia team, without any positive professional result....
What strikes me most as being utterly IRRESPONSIBLE is the fact that NOKIA is still advertising and selling these phones to unsuspecting customers, without professionally addressing the technical issue or even acknowledging it.
Get real my friend !
Just today, we hear that TOYOTA is recalling its best selling CAMRY sedan in the USA, because of technical faults related to the gas pedal !
This is professional responsibility my friend..
Customers should not be left to endure and live with your product's technical glitches, defects and faults...
Its time NOKIA took responsibility......
PLEASE....NIXY, GET IN TOUCH WITH NOKIA MANAGEMENT, DESIGNERS AND THE TECHNICAL TEAM.
RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM ONCE AND FOR ALL...RESTORE CUSTOMER CONFIDENCE IN NOKIA......YOU GUYS HAVE BEEN AROUND LONG ENOUGH....NOKIA IS NOT A FLY BY NIGHT OPERATOR......

You seem to jump to conclusions my friend. I have been a Nokia user long before you knew what Nokia was. I am willing to bet you were still in your diapers. I have always been a satisfied Nokia user till now...and the E72.
So kindly keep your silly conclusions to yourself...In my communication, I have even expressed my desire to buy the Nokia E72 again, provided Nokia reassures in no uncertain terms that they have resolved all the technical flaws and bugs on this model. Please do not resort to getting personal, are you on Nokia's payroll?
Are you trying to suggest that all the people on this forum do not have valid complaints and issues worth addressing?
Why dont you contribute by offering concrete solutions, rather than nagging people about their writing style?
Jeez.....you are illogical and pathetic my friend.
Address the issues at hand my friend....substance....substance.....!
Let us see some substance emanate from you....that's the challenge....Otherwise you sound like a frustrated good for nothing *?#></"*
