Hi all E61i users,

I am using this set for almost two years now and without any doubt an excellent business phone.
Recently I have had some problems for which I need assitance:

1. Memory Full, Delete some data: The phone memory capacity is 61MB. When I check the available phone memory it shows only 500kb. But at the same time when I add the breadown of the usage (sms, calender, contacts, images, docs, sound files, video files etc. stored in the phone memory) the total comes to less than 3 MB as I store almost everything (including my SMS & email) in the card memory (1GB). I am not sure what is occupying the remaining 57-58 MB of the phone memory. When this message shows up; I can not read sms, play or open any file, the call logs do not get updated. I am also not able to download almost anything either from teh net or using data cable even to my memory card. I have observed from my experience that even if I download a 100MB file from the internet i did not need to free up any phone memory space as the file directly was stored in the card memory. I have tried resetting the phone, clearing the internet cache, deleting the cookies; but nothing seems to help to free up my phone memory. I believe some files are blocking my phone memory which I am not able to identify. Can anyone suggest me how to free up the phone memory??

2. The sound quality of the phone while during the call is very poor. Initially I used original hands free which is out of order now. Now some times I am having to turn the speaker on to listen to the caller. It is really annoying.

I would appreciate any assistance in this regard.

do you have some apps installed on the phone memory istelf. there are some apps that will only install on the phone and not the memory card. is your firmware up to date? did you add anything new, try also removing some of the messages from the memory card and all the folders, send, inbox, outbox if applicable and see if this will make any difference.
