I have switched off the alarm tone for meeting reminders...is there any way that I can switch off the vibrate alert too? I would prefer to lose all reminders for calendar events...thanks in advance

To do that you would have to turn off the meeting reminder itself in the actual meeting under calendar. You would have to do each one individually unfortunately, if you sync with Outlook save all future appointments without a reminder alarm so that when you sync it will not sound an alarm/vibrate when the time is reached.
