Mail for Exchange problems on e90

I have a e90 with latest Mail for Exchange. I have my own Windows 2003 SBS server with Exchange, but when i try to connect my e90 to the exchange it makes an HTTP 400 error. I don't know where the problem is and i spent a day finding it out, but haven't figured yet. Has anyone had same error or does someone know where the problem usually is? OWA works fine in mobiles browser, but OMA doesn't work.

What is the exact error you are getting. Is it 404, 403?

Re: Mail for Exchange problems on e90

Seems that others have this problem with other Activesync clients too. In other cases it is server configuration:

http://forums.microsoft.com/TechNet/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=1443086&SiteID=17

Try googling for "activesync http 400 sbs"

Do you have other Activesync clients that can connect?

What happens when you try to connect to OWA from the device?

What about if you use the device browser to go:

https://ServerName/Microsoft-Server-Activesync

You should get a "Not implemented" message on the page. If not, it may indicate server issue.

The OWA works fine both PCs browser and mobiles browser and ActiveSync gives error "HHTPS/1.1 501 Not Implemented" with both browsers. I'm the only user for now, because the ActiveSync configuring is in procress and now this problem started.

And from google i got problems where the syncing worked fine, but they just got the error in the log. I can't even sync my phone.

Re: Mail for Exchange problems on e90

Perhaps MfE is not handling this error the same way as the other Activesync clients. That's my guess.

Best thing is to get rid of the actual problem causing the symptom (http 400).

Sorry I can't help more.

Yeah. It seems to be a tough problem, but i will try to get it working somehow. I think the problem is in the MfE or then i have a little setting wrong in the Exchange server.

Thanks anyway.

Re: Mail for Exchange problems on e90

I Read about a certificate problem that some people had with their phone and thought that there must something because i have always connected to my server with IP address, but my certificate is made for a DNS name of my server. I tried to connect with the DNS name and it gave me a system error and in the log read that there was a error during ping. Trough the DNS name OWA doesn't work on mobiles browser, but works fine in the computer. There is a somekind of problem with the certificate. Had any similar problems?

Re: Mail for Exchange problems on e90

Read a post from a other site conserning about that and solved it. Now it gives me the same HTTP 400 error and on top of that a ping error as well.

Frustrating...

Here's the last one...

29.09.2008 22:54:48 HTTP error code=400
29.09.2008 22:54:48 Exception during Ping.
29.09.2008 22:54:48 New heartbeat = 1.
29.09.2008 22:54:48 HTTP Server Error 400: Bad Request
29.09.2008 22:54:48 Error occurred during Ping.
29.09.2008 22:54:48 Error occurred during Ping. Setting Status to Waiting For Reconnect

I'm trying to find a earlier version of MfE, if the there's a bug in the program.

Re: Mail for Exchange problems on e90

FIXED IT!

The answer brilliant in it's simplicity. I had only assigned a IP address for the website and that is somehow interrupting MfE. I took it away and now it only complains about user accounts access issues.

Re: Mail for Exchange problems on e90

i have the same problem. But i don't understand the solution. what you mean by removing the ip-address?

I have to give an ip-adddress in the mfe servername field.
