Key not matched to this memory card?

Ok, so my E63's voice receiver had broken and i just bought a new E71. I had fully backed up my content on the E63 via the "Nokia Suite".

I then started up the new E71 and configured it, i removed my 8GB memory card from the E63 which was working perfectly and placed it into the E71, i go to encrypt the card on the E71 and receive this message " Key not matched to this memory card, memory card cannot be used ".I ignore the fact that i cannot acess my music on the memory card, so i restore my files from the E63 on the E71 via the Suite, i then receive the message that only 'part' of the backup was completed because it cannot fit the rest because there is no memory card or it is not in place. How do i receive my music via the memory card that was on the E63 and use the card on the E71 and finish the rest of my backup?

Re: Key not matched to this memory card?

Do I understand correctly that you have a backup of everything on the memory card, so all the old E63 files can be sacrificed?  If that's true (maybe this is a dumb question), did you reformat the card before restoring the music backup?  If not, all the old, encrypted files will still be there, consuming space.  You should be able to use Nokia's File Manager to format the card: select memory card -> Options -> Memory Card Options -> Format.  But be certain you want to do this, as it will erase everything on the card.  Let me know if I've misunderstood. :smileywink:
