This has already been discussed in another thread, but as that thread has been marked as "solved" (and the problem is not), I created a new thread.

Google Maps worked fine in my E7 before Anna update. After that, it installs fine, and after launching, it just blanks the screen for a short while. Then it gets back to menu where it was launched.

Version 4.1.1 does not give any error mesage, 4.0.0 gives following dump:

Sorry would have to disagree as no issues running Google Maps 4.01(1) upon E7 v025.007.

Thanks for your post.

It got me to think about whether this really is related to my stored "favourite places". I removed most of them (from Nokia Maps), leaving only two most important ones, and then - magically - Google Maps did start.

So - something happened with "favourite places" between old Symbian version and Anna.
