Ovi map 3.03 for S60 V3.1 with free navigation has been released on China's Nokia official website!!

When I select E72 and click on the "download" button, the file name is "nokia_maps_3[1].03_10wk11_b04_s60_3.1_rom_china.NOCS.sis", which is totally different from the file downloaded from Nokia Europe.

I successfully installed it in my E71 and it automatically became English UI. I test the navigation for walk or drive, it's completely free of charges. You just need to download the map and voice with map loader.

Don't be confused by the file name
It will automatically adapt the language on your phone!!

I'd be wary of running any file on my phone that did not actually come from a Nokia server.

That file is served up for all of the S60 3rd FP2 devices on Nokia's Chinese site. Could you please confirm that you're getting free turn-by-turn voice navigation, and not simply free maps usage?

First, I understand your worry. here is the URL of Nokia Server. http://www.nokia.com.cn/explore-services/ovi-maps/downloads?lid=nav_navq1_link_getthelatest_other_na...

you can select E72 then click on the green button to download.

I am 100% sure that I'm getting free turn-by-turn voice navigation with this file(see the second image).  I guess "Nokia China" guys make a mistake when they release the file.

You can get it by the E52 link, as well. I tried to install it on my N79 out of curiosity but it failed. I'm guessing because I'm way back on Maps 2 right now. I'll let you know if I can get it to work.

The filename refers to S60 3rd FP1, which certainly points to it being meant for the E71 and the like.

Yeah, small screen, but voice!  That totally makes up for the screen size for me.  Thanks a lot for finding that and sharing.  I re-love my E71!

Looks like this little loophole has been fixed. It now serves up a file with S60 3.2 in the filename.

It does work for whoever did download it though.

You can now download the FP1 file from the Finnish Nokia site. There a couple of posts in other threads with links.

Maps version 3.04 is available on the Forum Nokia Beta Labs. My download version from the chinese site is Version 3.03. Has any E71 user tried to update to 3.04? Does it work? I mean, I would hate to spend the time because we all know how things can go wrong with NOKIA!
