Hello Admin and Guys all around,
I bought E6 on 26th August in Pakistan, When I started using it , its battery timing was pathetic. I never made a call just browse with WLAN and Use Opera for about 2 hours and Battery gone down to 3 bars Left. Next morning phone was auto shutdown due to battery.
Here I have to mention that all the units are made in China.
Got it replaced on 30th August. and This Unit has the problem of Light leaking from bottom of Keypad and same Battery issue, But due to EID holidays I replaced it on 5th September.
Yesterday I got new pin pack handset and this one has same battery time issue , No calls were made just browsing and battery down to 50% in an hour. Plus there is a Dot , broken Pixel on screen which can be seen in dark room, that cause to feel like what the heck i have done to get such piece of junk all the times. The Assembly of the Handset is pathetic too , from one side the steel can be seen uplift and the plastic body moved a bit out. whats wrong Nokia ?
I have been fan of Nokia E-series since Nokia E50.
E71 Timing was exceptional , E72 same league , E5 (currently using) has 3 days battery with 3 hours daily calls and 100 sms.
But this E6 is giving me a feel not every go for this handset,
Nokia Admin kindly tell me whats my fault to spend 32000 PKR and get such a junk all the time ?
How can I get my money from Nokia Care Point or what ? Because I am seriously not in a mood to waste my another day for replacement and moving around

Congratulations Nokia (and other companies) - production offshored to cheap countries, saved a few cents on your balance sheet, killed jobs at home, and in return producing lousy quality gear, p*****g off long term customers, losing market share etc.
Admirably smart moves of "smart" and "dynamic" managers. Are you proud of that? Disgusting.

Do your research before replying to threads.
Manufacturing processess are exactly the same in China as they are in Finland.
I guarantee you that you would not be able to tell the difference between a China manufactured handset and a Finland handset.
To the original poster.
WLAN uses a lot of battery, of all phones I've used (and I've used plenty of different handsets), they've all only last a couple of hours with constant WLAN use.
But hey, if you feel yours is faulty, that's fine. But I can let you know you wont get a refund from Nokia Care Point (unless you bought it from them, I don't know if they have a store front in your country). You need to take it to where you bought the phone. Nokia Care Points are to fix your phone, are they not? You wouldn't take your car to a mechanic and expect a refund from them would you.

For comparison purpose could you also try using WLAN on your E5 to see how long does the battery last?

@ metalfan:
I did my research, in very real life, on 4 different E6s, from Finland, Hungary and 2xChina.
The worst ones in terms of build quality by far were the ones from China. The battery cover is shorter than the one on the Finnish/Hungarian versions, therefore wobbly. USB cover is lose compared to the others. Proximity sensor was defective twice. Today my #4 (China) went back to service after only one day of use, it's screen simply died, and the phone went offline!
So please do your own research, before educating others. It is all here, stated clearly and in detail, in this forum. There definitely is a quality problem at their Chinese production facility.

RIGHTO MATE.
I handle upwards of 30-40 Nokias daily for my job. I think I would know.

Do what?? My N900 is connected to wifi all day and lasts about 12 hours when doing so. It's constantly connected like Android, and lasts just fine.
My E72 on the other hand (and all my other Symbian phones) only last a couple of hours as you say.
So not all phones only last a couple of hours. And not even all Nokias last a couple of hours. Just the Symbian variants.
--------------------------------------------------
Anyway, I was seriousy interested in the E6 as an upgrade to my E72, but there is absolutely nothing that will convince me to buy it now even at its current price of £160 (nearly half its its initial price of £300).
Thanks to everyone for the warnings, and no thanks to Nokia for virtually zero feedback on any of the issues mentioned to date. And there have been numerous.
Every one of my previous phones was Nokia since the 3650, most of which were Symbian (except for one S40 and one Maemo) but I'm done with Nokia. It's going to be a breath of fresh air to finally be rid of the insufficient memory errors I regularly get on my E72.

Oh yes you are right, I just woke up and found I was dreaming:
my E6 didn't break 5 times, and the old E72's battery didn't last twice as long as the E6.
To handle, means what? Handing them over the counter? Putting them into shipping boxes? Or actually using them? And all 30-40 being E6s?

Hello to E6 User, i think nokia E6 have 802.11B/G/N wifi, while other old version e71,e72 etc have only 802.11B/G, i think 802.11N have wider network cover than 802.11B/G, so it need more power to transmit singnal over wifi network. i am currntly using Nokia E72, haveing issue of low memory
( Good bye
