Until today NOKIA did not release when the right E90 will release, also my E90 that stay in Nokia Care Centre not fixing yet (already 22 days) because they did not know when the parts will coming (mine have problem noisy when make/receive call and NCC said mic problem)

every one here know that NOKIA had set back E90, but in INDONESIA, Nokia store still sell E90 with high price then they make money, after that did know how long to fixed it, they also did not explained to customer if E90 have problem, so every one that still looking for E90 and not available in their places/countries try to looking for in Indonesia, price right now around usd.1075/pcs, who knows one or two months later E90 becoming Collectible gadget because have noisy, scratch display etc, and price will higher because Nokia did know when they can repair it and already set back E90

At a short term vue, it will pay, but in the near future they will loose !

A good point is made but the thing to remember is that S60 is the platform of the future. It is more powerful than S80, more secure and has much more software developed for it. Look at SE. They just offer the same stuff over and over with older technology. The E90 is using the latest technology. Yes it is in its infancy but Nokia will be quick to fix things. Just look at how they responded to the iPhone.

I guess you missed the big announcement of Nokia phones that are hitting the market or will be released. Do trains deliver news papers in your town?

If the Windows train has already left the station how come Nokia's stock price is the highest it has been in about 5 years. How come developers are happy about the investment Nokia is making in S60?

In short, and this is an honest and serious question, do you really know what you are talking about or is this just another thread that you have chosen to jump into and bemoan Nokia? I am not a Nokia lover. I love what works for my money. Be it SE, Apple, Nokia, etc.... I look at the technology for where it is, and where it is going. Currently, the N95, and the E90 are the two most hi-tech platforms to build on, and they are new. They are not on the market 5 plus years like Microsoft Mobile and the other incarnations. Where is this big train rush that has already pulled out? I suggest you read a bit more and post from what you know than posting from your emotions.

I suggest you compare the 5 year share performance of Apple and Nokia. Apple have significantly outperformed Nokia over that period.

In terms of the iPhone, Nokia's response is just that, a response. Apple really is a leader. I would have to hold concerns about the medium term viability of Symbian against Windows and, as you mention it, Apple. then of course there's Blackberry.

The thread started on e90 then into symbian and windows then ended a comparison of market position of Nokia and Apple, Hmmmmm

I will stay focus and say that Nokia Symbian S60 is stable and reliable and secure and great technology as an operating system , I really can’t say much for windows in the same market ( smart/ pocket pc's)windows is just BAD. Apple Hmmmmmm , they just never competed in this market and it would be a shame to even compare them to Nokia in this market( I stress in this market only.

I invite everyone to really investigate the e90 before posting or replying to e90 threads

See how pointless your argument is now. I was referring as everyone seems to have gotten except you that based on the news of new products their share prices have risen. With respect you first mentioned the iPhone and Nokia's 5 year share perfromance. I followed up on this with the actual facts.

It is as sensible to talk about Apple's phone performance pre 2007 as it is to talk about Nokia's music download performance pre 2007.

I'm afraid it is not right to say that I bemoan Nokia. As it happens, I have only ever used Nokia phones since 1994 and currently use :

(a) 6021 in the car as this is one of the very few Nokia phones that interface correctly with an Audi MMI system. Nokia S60 phones are not fully compatible which is a significant problem if you hop over to the Nokia forum on in-car performance

(b) 9500 Communicator for PIM functions, basic spreadsheeting, lots of texts to multiple contacts, databases etc

(c) E61 for Nokia Intellisync email.

So actually, you would have to put me down as a pretty avid Nokia fan.

No worries, it really doesn't need a reply.

You know the interesting thing about a forum is that generally it is only the people who really care - for whatever reason - about the brand or the subject matter that post.

Feedback for a brand is vital - whether the brand listens or acts of course is their decision. The most damaging thing for a brand is when disgruntled users don't comment, they just shop elsewhere.

You and I seem to come to blows on this forum - you think I'm criticising unnecessarily, I think you are too evangelistic about the E90 and dismissive of other's reasonable comments. We'll probably never agree so may as well agree to differ! But I think we should be tolerant of each others - and all other people's - views.

I do think it is important to maintain objective criticism as, bizarrely, I do care deeply about Nokia and have found their products to be a great help for over 10 years. I think you care too.

I would like nothing better than to buy an E90 today but I know that it is not a mature enough product for my needs - yet!

Anyway, let's bury the hatchet eh?

You mentioned in another thread about an E90 upgrade - do you mean firmware, or an E90i, or an all new model? Any intelligence gratefully received!
