E90: Backup not working - have I lost all my data?

Hi,

I have done a complete backup of my E90, including the memory card data, using the PC suite. I then resetted the phone and formatted the memory card. Now I am trying to restore the backup to the phone.

1st problem: the phone keeps on turning off and restarting during the restoring, causing the restoring process to fail. The phone screen says: phone will restart and the pc: connection lost.

2nd problem: even after managing to restore all the data I cannot find anymore all my applications (originally saved either on the memory card or in the phone memory). I had there applications with databases months old and I really need to somehow recover them.

Any idea?

Thanks
Regards
Francesco

Why did you format the memory card?

All of your 3rd party application data bases were on it..
Many 3rd party software companies do not write their programs so that the Nokia Back up can save them.
Most java applications cannot be back up.
That is why you should save the data to memory card. The resseting of the phone does not remove data from the card.
