Dear ALL,
I am a fresh man here. I am just got an E90(version E90-1) 1 week ago (made in Finland).
And upgraded firmware 400.34.93. I think that everything would be OK however,I have a big problem.
"My phone auto turn off without and notice" Sometimes just 10m after turn on, sometimes 10 hours.
I am really confused now. Functionality of the phone have no problem besides problem above (auto off)
I wonder it come from firmware issues.
Have anyone had any experience about this situation, please help me!
Thanks & best regards,
Khanh Tran

Dear Wilson63,
Thanks a lot for your reply.
I understand the problem may come from FW.
Actually, I already got my E90 to update firm ware again but the problem still there.
It it uncontrollable, unpredictable, and unforgetable problem for my first E90.
Now, I am getting boring with this E90.
Ist there any Nokia expert here could solve this problem or just guide me to solve it?
I am looking forward to seeing any reply.
Best regards,
khanh Tran

Hi, I'm having the same problem as you on my e63. I've done the soft reset, hard reset and reformat and it's still there. I'm ruling out the SIM card and memory card right now, then the battery. I heard it could be a faulty battery issue. I'll keep you posted on how things go.
Cheers.

I have traced the problem to a faulty battery.
After a series of self on and offs (dimmed nokia start up screen that proceeded without the start up tone), my phone just died. I couldn't turn it on even when plugged into a charger. the reformat keys didn't work either. Prior to that, my battery would also heat up and drain faster than I have read in all of the reviews (drained in 1 day as opposed to the 1 week supposed standby time)
I switched SIMs and batteries with my wife's E63 and the problem went to her. Our SIMs worked fine. So it was the battery. I'm still having it checked by Nokia Care just in case there's a defect in the phone that caused the faulty battery.
I'll let you know when I know.

I have the same problem with my new 5800. ![]()
I faced it at 1st day.
Sometime I suddenly look at it, and it's on restarting, or some times when I look at it, it's turned off.
Any one help me????
Is it from hardware or software?
Is Nokia responsible for this buggy mobile??
Excuse me for my bad English.

Dear ALL,
I am sorry for late reply.
My problem is solved but in the way I don't like any bit.
After trying many things on Firmware but still hopeless, I send it to the Nokia customer care.
They kept it for 1 week and gave me the answer that they will "change the mainboard of the phone".
I had no choice in this situation although I just buy this phone for 1 month.
3 more days, I got back my E90 and it works well now.
However, I was dissapointed and my E90 is no longer original.
The story was closed here.
If you are facing same problem as me, please send it to the NOKIA asap.
Thanks & best regards,
