I am not Swedish. Don't assume. You know the saying right? Oh, and I am not European either. Do you have anything to add about the upgrade or are you just out trolling?

1- Transition effects is still lagging, specially when sliding and un-sliding, sometimes the phone freezes for like 2 seconds before the transition triggers, still i am disabling it so i can use the phone properly.

2- Calender is lagging to sometimes, .. i try to enter some new entries (around 5 in the same week) in the calendar and when i try to view them later i will have to wait like 2 to 4 seconds for the entry to open (maybe its due the transition effect in the calendar, saddly i cant disable that)

3- Bluetooth is not working with my bluetooth car kit anymore, .. which was working fine before in the previous firmware

E75 v110 problems discovered by me so far:

1. VOIP settings manual installation - not a big deal for me but could be a serious problem for inexperienced user.

2. movement sensor - just to be adequate - silencing the alarm by putting the phone on its face doesnt work anymore with this software - the sensor functionality is only enabled for transition effects when swithing from regular viw to landscape...

3. calling issues - it happened twice that i was not able to make any phone call - when i went to the last calls and tried to press the green button nothing happens - fix by restarting the phone.

Generally I got used to this phone. It is not so much different than E71 in case of functionality - to be honest, after NOKIA introduced 110 software there is very little difference when compared to E71 - I wouldn't upgrade to this model if I knew this before...

fixed the YouTube problem, proxy has to be "Off" in RealPlayer settings, I feel like a noob for not picking this up before but i also feel like its one of those settings that should be off by default shouldn't it?

Well I'm considering getting this phone but I think that Nokia has disabled them for a short while and will be re-included in the next firmware. They probably to did this (as mentioned) there were bugs with these functions and these 2 functions work similarly so disabling only 1 could have caused more bugs. So I so, don't worry! Just wait until end of July/August and I think they'll have re-included it.

Yes, I figured out how to stop that. It's happening because of the email.

Go to Menu > Email > Settings > [Mailbox you're using, mine is Gmail] > Mailbox settings > Advanced mailbox settings > Incoming email settings > Access point in use > Change to 'user defined'

Alternatively, if you don't want your E75 to sync with your email, you could just tell your phone never to sync. But the method above will allow the phone to sync automatically without asking you each time.

you all guys are quite right about getting the options back in sensor settings turning and tapping silencing.. if a phone comes with the functionality like turning and tapping control they showed in their commercial for the sale of this model then how can they remove when you update your phone via Nokia source. this is very disappointing if this is not going back to previous setting like turning and tapping controls then i will sue nokia for their negligence... it is ridiculous..

What a miserable mess!!!

 Nokia already sold the phone with turning and tapping control features!!!

I wonder how they disable or remove previously available features, regardless it's interesting or not... Moreover, turning control was working more than excellent.

Even if tapping control caused problems... which experienced only by users didn't understand the feature undesired impact, and turn it off to recover... Nokia was supposed to improve it in new firmware versions, not to remove the feature at all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I strongly recommend rapidly resolving this annoying and disappointing issue. it's realy joke!!

a quick update for all of you that still plan to buy this phone - no negative emotions.

Since I started this thread in June, NOKIA HAS NOT PROVIDED ANY SINGLE UPDATE TO THIS PHONE'S SOFTWARE.

That means that:

1. tapping and turnig the phone over will not silence your calls/alarms

2. calendar issues are still present (not being able to make any calendar entry, as phone exits calendar application)

3. VOIP - only thorugh GIZMO or some other junk software - no VOIP SETTINGS preinstalled - you need to do it yourself

4. No mail for exchange support - regardless the fact that it IS AVAILABLE for newer phone's models from NOKIA

5. hanging/freezing - happens more often for me now ( I feel this is connected to my address book with 600 entries)

6. address book lagging as hell - have to wait 3-5 seconds for entries to show up.

7. COMPLETE LACK OF SUPPORT FROM NOKIA - this should be enough for undecided buyers to make their minds up.

Honestly?

I wouldn't buy this mobile again... Nokia seems to prefer to introduce new models to the market rather than making the released ones usable and keeping their loyal customers happy.

Instead of that it looks like they try to get as much of market share as possible by bringing new phones every few months.

Probably that's why their support doesn't give a #$%! about E75 owners...

I have completely given up on this phone.  I bought the E75 in June and used it for about a day before I discovered the mail for exchange memory leak.  Since I rely on M4E for my business, I have not been able to use this phone.  I tried to play with it a couple weeks ago and discovered that, while the phone was just sitting on the shelf, the microphone somehow failed.  TRghis coupled with the fact that, as stated above, there is still no firmware update and M4E still has a memory leak.  I am completely disgusted.

After the phone has been released, the following problems were existed

 

1. The phone lags badly when you put the animation mode on and you use it regularly

Solution: Turn off animation.

2. "Turn to Silence" and “Tap to Silence” don’t work properly!!

Solution: Turn off those features (one frameware –and the only one- update came and Nokia disabled those features). Or get a third party application

3. Serious Bluetooth connectivity issue with some well known car kits, Like my Mercedes Kompressor kit (and its not just me search it up in the forum and you will find how much troubles that caused Nokia Customers!!)

Solution: buy a Nokia car kit or change your car or your phone [?] :s

4. Calendar entries lags badly when I insert multiple entries in same day and try to navigate through them quickly (Maybe its just me, but it should be a business phone and I expect it to handle calendar entries pretty well)

Solution: I wish I could turn off the animation of the Calendar but I cant!!!

 

One update came from nokia for that phone, and the only major thing about it is that they “Disabled” the turn to silence and tap to silence features!

 

So

    * Are we gonna get those features back “officially”, and will they be working properly?
    * Are we gonna get our Bluetooth to work properly with our car kits without turning our phone off and on again and delete all the entries in the Bluetooth to reconnect to the car kit and wish it works?
    * Are we gonna be able to enjoy the smooth animation of the phone (even with heavy usage)?

 

We want major software update for the E75 to fix all those mentioned problems!!!!
