Hello everyone,

I am experiencing strange behavior of E72 contacts application.

My contacts are synchronizes via Exchange (as is email, calendar and tasks).

When I enter Contacts and seach for a specific name (starting H today, but it was a different letter) no contact is found when in fact this contact exists and I can find it by scrolling thru all contacts.

I find that restarting the phone solves the problem for a while.

I have no other applications open exept email but even with everything closed the problem persists.

Any suggestions are welcome!

I had the exact same problem.

First I verified that in Contact settings the Phone was selected as source to display contacts from.

After that I deleted the Exchange sync, deleted all of the contacts from the phone, reestablished the server connection and made a new sync.

After that it was working fine.

Removing the exchange sync will remove the email and calendar data as well?

I will need to re-establish all this data, correct?

OR can I just remove and re-establish the settings for Contacts?? (dont think so)

If You selected to sync them from MFE then they will be removed, yes.

At least they were on my phone and everything was resynced upon new connection.

Be sure to delete any phone contacts after removing the exchange sync.

1. Remove Exchange sync from MFE

2. Delete any existing phone contacts

3. Reestablish sync, resync and wait for first sync to finish completely

4. Restart phone

I think my problem was probably caused by that I made a PC-Suite/Outlook sync besides MFE.

Just one more thing: After successfull resync, still there were missing contacts in search. However a reboot if the phone solved that and thereafter all my contacts are visible...

Well, this has resurfaced again on my phone.... The fix above might fix the issue for the moment but not permanently...
