E72 - What MPEG-4 (DivX, XVid) player can I use with this phone

I'm looking for a MPEG-4 compatible player for this phone. Could you please recommend some? Thank you!

Hi,

I would recommend Smart Movie Player 4.15 (latest version) for playing MPEG-4 videos.

Hi,

The player supports .mp4, .avi, .3gpp formats. To convert videos to .avi. I use Total Video Converter.

Haven't actually tried Smart Movie Player yet. But when I checked their website, it seems that one needs to convert the files first on the PC before running it with Smart Movie Player, is that right?

Maybe there's some other player that doesn't need the additional conversion step in the first place.

Regarding Core Player, is there a trial version of this commercial software?

I've heard of a "Run Player" for Symbian, but not sure where it is and how it works (probably also commercial software, not freeware or perhaps shareware)

I've been using SmartMovie for some time now and it's great. The interface isn't the greatest looking, but it works well.

To answer user d_t_a's question, you must convert first with any video player. It's your phone that doesn't have the processing power to play unconverted videos.
