E72 USB tethering

I have a macbook and an E72.  Is it possible to do tethering using the USB cable? Has any one succeeded in doing that?

Re: E72 USB tethering

I just tried that as well. However in my case, the phone is not even getting recognized in MacBook. For example, it is not even getting charged.

Hi binodpg

Unfortunately all I can say is that using OSX 10.5.8 on a MacMini no issues provided that E72 iSync plugin 2v1 has been installed first and device is charging happily via USB.

Re: E72 USB tethering

I went to nokia care and gave my handset. After about 10 days, they gave me a different phone. USB is working now. So, it was a hardware issue in the fresh new phone I bought.

I did a speedtest comparison with the default nokia modem script versus the HSPDA modem script mentioned by scoobyman. Atleast for me, the default nokia modem script gives 2.5mbps, while the HSPDA script gave less than 1mbps. That is an observation.

Hope this helps someone.
