E72 Nokia Messaging connection issues - always looking for wlan connection

Hi All,

I just changed from E71 to E72 and I have a problem.

I have set the access point for both my NM accounts to Optus Internet (my 3G service provider).

If I'm in wi-fi range, NM connects on the wi-fi and works fine, after I OK the connection.

When I leave and get in the car or go out of range of the wi-fi, my NM cannot connect - it gets the little red circle and cross.

It even tries to find wlans to connect to as I'm driving down the highway - it's driving me nuts. How can I get both my NM accounts to quietly connect to my 3G provider?

My E71 did this very simply.

Set up an accesspoint group as described on page 60 of the English manual.

Re: E72 Nokia Messaging connection issues - always looking for wlan connection

It turns out the original set up of the mail boxes on the E72 was somehow corrupt. I deleted both boxes and reset up and it now works great - no more wlan issues. It seems to work fine in the office and out on the road now. thanks again.
