Tonight, my phone downloaded emails as usual. Some of messages were spams, so I deleted them. After I press "delete", the email app stopped responding. After about 1 min, it started responding again, but the "Deleted Items" has disappeared. Now in my mailbox there are only Inbox, Sent Items, Outbox and Drafts
. Any solution guys
?

This may not be helpful, but I am using an E73 with Email 2.2.0, and don't appear to have a Deleted Items folder at all.
I am checking a single POP3 account through the Email program, without a Nokia Ovi/Messaging account, so maybe your setup is different? When I delete a message, it just deletes, and no Deleted Items folder appears.

Thanks for your answer thetao, after removing and adding my mailbox again, the "Deleted Items" has come back. My email is 2.2.0 too
BTW, does anyone know what the difference between IMAP and POP3 is ? And how to change one to each other ?

Yeah, the difference was you using IMAP vs. me using POP3. I have rarely used IMAP, as my ISP's don't support it, but just gave myself a refresher. POP3 is the oldest mail protocol in use today. It knows nothing of folder structure, read/unread marks, tagging, push, multiple client access, etc. IMAP can do all of these things, but with potentially greater stress to the server, which is why I think many ISP's stay with POP3. Gmail, for example, is IMAP-only. You typically wouldn't want to switch from one to the other (I would use IMAP if I could!) but switching involves deleting and re-adding the account again, using either a different host name or port. For example
POP3 server: pop.mailserver.com:110
IMAP server: imap.mailserver.com:143
Check your ISP's email settings if you really want to switch. Hope that helps!
Oh, and your Deleted Items folder disappearing sounds like a bug to me. The next time it happens, check your email account from a desktop/laptop computer and see if Deleted Items shows up there. Perhaps try deleting something to see what happens. If this works normally, then I suspect it's another bug in Nokia Email 2.2.0. ![]()
