My E71 always display a "Memory full" error message whenever I tried to open "Help" in any application.
It happens all the time, no matter the memory is full or not. I can run 6 applications at a time without any problem, but get a "Memory full" messaging while opening "Help" when no application is using the memory. Can anyone from Nokia fix this or at least let me know what is going on?
Thanks!

Call me paranoid but as a windows user for years, I am certain that a quick format and full format are not the same.
So here is my suggestion: I know it is a pain in the butt but here it is any how (and %99 of the time it works):
1. select general profile. back up phone data to memory card.
2. remove the memory card
3. do a 3-button reset
4. Re-install the firmware.
5. while doing these, remove all passwords and pin codes so when the phone restarts, it does not have to wait for user input.
GOLDEN RULE: cleanest possible installation with minimum interference
this solves %99 of the problems. Trust me. I have been there....

I had this problem for several weeks. I posted the problem to this forum, nobody replied.
In the meantime I bought a 4 GB micro SD card to replace the 2 GB card on the phone, and transferred the contents of the old card to the new one, The problem has vanished.
I don't suggest that you also buy a new card, but you may consider backing up the card on your PC with the mass media mode, formatting your card, retransfer your files to the card, and see what happens.

Like all the rest of those who have already posted to this thread, my E71 spiked this problem, about 3 weeks after I started using the phone At that time, I was comfortable with doing a full reformat of the phone and memory card, then a reinstall of the applications. That solved the problem, but for less than 1 week. Then, the problem returned.
That was at least 2 months ago. Now I've got too many applications loaded to the memory card - all of which, so far as I can tell, have to be reinstalled, if you do this kind of reformatting - that I've resigned myself to this problem.
It's another one of those things for which there seems to be no fix and for which I've never seen an acknowledgement, from Nokia.
I feel badly, since the help function is great and developers ought not to have to produce separate manuals for their applications. But, given this problem, I've had to ask the developers for some software I use to provide separate manuals, since their on-phone help files are not accessible for who-knows-how-many Nokia phone users.

Interesting. I have been experimenting with larger SDHC memory cards, on my E71. When I used a 16GB Class 2 card, I encountered many error messages and also this problem with "Memory Full" whenever I attempted to access on-phone help.
Like many E71 users, whenever I have the choice (with very few exceptions), I install applications to the memory card, instead of the phone's memory.
For the last week, I have been using a16GB Class 6 SDHC memory card. Presently, I am not getting the "Memory Full" message.
Also, incidents of corrupted memory, especially related to media player files, has declined since I began using the faster memory card.
. . . could be, this is part of the needed solution, particularly for users of larger SDHC cards.
