I'm new to this forum, and I'm getting a real stress on due to this problem I'm having. I have a homehub which I have superuser rights to, I have set it up dozens of times and know it inside out. I have set up all of the user account names for the hub and know all of the passwords. The hub works fine with all of my XP systems, all the house PC's and laptops connect to it fine with a WEP key.
Now here's the problem, when I try and connect with my E71, it connects fine but then shows the:-
"Welcome...
Congratulations on purchasing this speedtouch residential gateway.
To connect to the internet, you have to login as a more privileged user."
And it gives the option to sign on as a different user.
When I try this, I enter an account name for the router, and it comes back "authorisation failed. Try again?". I have created new accounts with admin rights, WAN admin rights, standard user, all sorts but all fail.
I have tried a hard reset on the router and even with no security setup it still comes up with this page, I am losing the will to be patient with this phone, and I really want it to work as I love the phone, but the I have 5 days longer to return it if I'm not happy, and I'm seriously considering it as I just can't see what elsecould be wrong with the setup!
Please help, I will be eternally grateful...
Many thanks in advance :womanmad:

My E71 works flawlessly with my HomeHub.
In Advanced Configuration / Wireless / Security (on the HomeHub) is "Allow new devices" set to "New stations are allowed (Automatically)"?

Hi SJ,
Yes the router is set up to allow new stations automatically, I can see the phone is connected to the router under the wireless section of the router status. All looks fine apart from the phone not realising that it is authenticated.

Is "Web Browser Interception" enabled?
