I'm hoping you can help me. 

I am the owner of an E71.  I have mail for exchange 2.07(22) preloaded on my phone.  When I began syncing the device to my work exchange server, it worked a treat.  Now, email is the only thing syncing.  Yes, the emails are coming through fine, just as they should.  However, now the contacts, tasks and calendar are not syncing at all.  According to my IT department, nothing has changed at their end to cause a problem like this.  When I open 'MfE' and force through a sync, it syncs my email then starts to sync Calendar then I get this message 'System Error. Try again later'.  It's driving me mad!  I'm a PA and need this device to work as the further I get away from my Outlook, the lower my IQ goes!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also may i know the firmware on ur device.

The firmware I have is 200.21.118 (symbian)

Can you explain what you mean by re-configuring mail for exchange?  Sorry, I'm a complete novice!

hi lesley,

The latest firmware for E71 is 210.21.006

please update ur device firmaware by connecting the device to Nokia Software Update. (please take a back up of the device before doing so, if needed).

After that go to settings wizard and start configuring ur mail for exchange once again. Settings Wizard will guide u in doing so.

Thanks very much for you help.  I backed up my phone using PC Suite then tried to download the latest firmware but I had the latest version on my phone apparently. I then manually deleted MfE on my phone and reinstalled the latest version from the web entering in all the details again and it's worked!  I'm fully functional again.  At least I'll know what to do if it happens again (hopefully it won't but you never know).

I checked the latest firmware for my phone & it shows 200.21.118 to be the latest firmware for my phone. I can try out the version that you suggest, havent been able to find it yet.

Could you send me a link?

I got so frustrated with mail for exchange that I downloaded Roadsync trial version, it works but it seems to have messed up my calendar with duplicate entries, in one case created spurious entry.

i believe 210.21.006 firmware holds good solution for this issue as u could c there are customers who have accepted this solution.

please install PC Suite, connect the device and try for Nokia Software Update which will surely hold 300.21.012 firmware.

I have run software updater from PC suite & it shows that this is the latest version. I know people who are running more recent version of software on their E71, not sure if it shows up as the legitimate version for their set. Nokia does not approve of some firmwares for some geo's & service providers if its not certified.

Where are u located?

Can u check for the same from a NOKIA care unit (if possible )?

I am at Bangalore, last weekend I also checked with Nokia care & they said this is the latest firmware.

you can go to this link http://europe.nokia.com/get-support-and-software download Nokia Software Updater and please follow the steps provided in the aplication to get the new firmware on ur device.

do revert back if you need more assisstance!!!!

As I mentioned earlier, I had already installed software updater, it tells me that the firmware on my phone is latest.

I am also having problems with syncing calendar, tasks and contacts from Microsoft Exchange. I have loaded the latest firmware 300.21.012. MfE 2.09.158 is installed. Can you please assist. I am in Australia
