Hi, recenty , i came to know tht my e71s lower front body is not metal and is more prone to fast wear out , it already lost some shine near the lowr right corner where the orignal cover shruggs the phone while u put in .

 it also has a slighty diff steel color than the other body asits made of plastic.

i am just conerned tht will i get a spare if i wore it off some day.

If you are concerned that it's wearing unusually quickly and your phone is in overall good condition then you should visit a nokia care point.  I had a similar issue with an E65 and the part was replaced under warranty, free of charge.

It's worth getting checked out if you have a care point close to you.  Hopefully they could replace that part without sending your phone away.

The GSM/UMTS antenna is located in the base of the handset underneath that region of the casing that you speak about.

The reason for it being plastic is so that signal is not attenuated by having steel in close proximity to the antenna.

As Psychomania says you should be able to get that replaced at a care point, however in my experience you'll need to be a bit more forceful with the care point as some tend to say that the do not do repairs for cosmetic work, even though the cover is falling to bits.

Changing that part yourself will invalidate your warranty. 

The front camera unless you are making a video call cannot be enabled.

As I understand there is a North American varient called the E71x that can have the front camera enabled, as for the other varients then its not possible.

there is NO FRONT camera on the E71X it does not exist on the phone, just the back camera.
