E71 and yahoo mail sync issue - email comes in and then auto deletes from phone

I have had my nokia e71x for about four months and it was working fine.  Then about a week ago, with no changes to the phone, the yahoo emails I was receiving on my phone would come in, but then about 10 minutes later they would get removed from the phone.  They would also delete from the server, which is a huge issue.  But they are still going to my outlook ok.  I have hotmail accounts still coming to the phone with no issues.  I am so frustrated that I am about to just go buy an iphone, please help!!!

I had a similar problem with Sky email a while ago and it turned out to be something wrong at the Sky server end. A short term solution was to delete the email account and recreate it, specifying a prefix. This worked for a while and it seemed to help by switching IMAP off in my sky account and leaving POP3 on.

It was solved later by sky technicians but I don't know what it was exactly, they wouldn't elaborate apart from it was something to do with password requests.

You could try messing around as I did but it may be something has been altered by yahoo so tell them about it too.

Someone else may know precisely what is wrong of course :smileyhappy:
