We downloaded new voice stuff thru the Ovi pc app and x-ferred to phone. Still can't hear a thing while traveling from Tennessee to Missouri.  Ovi navigator seems like a great program, but does us little good without being able to hear the turn by turn instructions. Suggestions would be welcome. Thanks.

You are using OVI Maps v3.03 on your E71 E71 Maps v3.03 ?

Have you tried downloading a different voice file via WLAN if cost an issue with OVI Maps application "Online"?

BTW we have never got the voice to work with navigation. Complete silence.

If you look in OVI Suite and click on "Tools" tab at top of screen > Software updates - it should tell you if newer version of OVI Maps available.

Older version required voice navigation license to be purchased but on latest version it is free.

I have v3.03. No voice for the return trip also. While naving, click options then volume. It does nothing. I don't get it.

Perhaps the volume is set to mute. Volume is controlled in maps through the volume control keys on the side of the phone. When you start navigation (with a route on display) try adjusting the volume buttons on the side of the phone. You should see a black volume display pop up on the screen accordingly.

NOTE: The volume control only works when you are navigating not when browsing the map.

Whilst in OVI Maps application go to Options > Settings > Navigation - is chosen voice showing for Drive & Walk guidance?
