E71: Windows Live mailbox after update

I've updated my E71 from Ver. 100.... to 200...., and after restoring the phone data, my Windows Live mailbox's icon changed into a white circle with a question mark, it doesn't respond to any action (delete, connect, etc.), it doesn't even appear in mail sittings, and I had create a new live mailbox, so I can't even delete the whole mailbox.

It just stays there, and can't get the notification on active desktop, as the "E-mail  2 notification" is reserved for the first Live account, which stopped working already.

Re: E71: Windows Live mailbox after update

this is not a serious problem.............. what u have to do is some work..........

1) Remove the new windows live installed by you and make a backup of ur device

2) Do  a hard reset which will turn ur device as it left the factory totally new which will be '*' '3' 'Call Key' and Power button all pressed at the same time after u have removed ur phone battery for at least 5 mins. It wud turn ur phone as it was when it left the factory.

3) restore

Re: E71: Windows Live mailbox after update

I had the same problem and I soved in this way:

  1. Download msn live messenger for symbian (no more included in the new firmware)
  2. Install msn live messenger and this will enable the windows live mailbox
  3. Uninstall msn live messenger in order to remove the windows live mailbox

Hope to have been helpful.

bye
